Welcome to Crimson Blue Fragrances

I’m Geoff Nuttall, founder and perfumer at Crimson Blue Fragrances.

I craft independent, artisan niche perfumes from the ground up, transforming cherished moments, nostalgia and quiet reflections into distinctive, wearable olfactory stories.

My journey into perfumery began many years ago through a genuine love of fragrance. After building a sizeable personal collection of perfumes, I found myself wanting to understand what existed beyond the finished bottle. I wanted to delve deeper into the ingredients, techniques and creative processes that bring a fragrance to life.

Little did I know where that curiosity would take me.

I studied with the Richmond Perfume School, developing my knowledge through courses ranging from the fundamentals of perfumery to Advanced Levels 1 & 2, alongside plant oil extraction, instructor/creator training, and commercial perfume branding and marketing.

That journey gave me the confidence and knowledge to create Crimson Blue Fragrances, my own independent fragrance brand, and to develop my own certified perfumes.

Today, I continue to explore the fascinating space where artistry meets science, experimenting with aroma materials, naturals and modern perfumery techniques to create original fragrances with character, depth and a story of their own.

But my passion for perfumery is not only about creating fragrance.

I also enjoy introducing enthusiastic newcomers to this extraordinary world, offering the opportunity to discover and experience perfumery in the comfort of their own homes. My aim is to make perfume creation approachable, engaging and inspiring, while sharing some of the knowledge and creativity that first captivated me.

For me, perfume is much more than something we wear.

It is memory.
It is emotion.
It is identity.
It is a story told through scent.
